Description

Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:

This position requires technical and interpersonal skills, with a strong drive to want to succeed and to challenge status quo. He/she is responsible to look after the support, service level and rollout/implementation for key applications such as Enovia, MasterControl, and any application deployed for ROA region.

• Supporting service delivery and applications support for key applications used in the Singapore Manufacturing business group and all commercial business users in ROA.
• Provide IT support to our regional/global users and meeting service level agreements. Ability and willingness to do hands-on support is required.
• Involve in project management e.g. requirements analysis, execution and projects monitoring.
• Adopt Good Project Management Practices
• Staying up-to-date on the latest technologies and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems. Uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
• Be the link between Global IT Application team and local IT team and keep both parties updated on key development and happenings for the applications we support.
• Analyze and recommend improvements to our current support processes, standards and procedures, and work with manager to improve them over time. Continuously drive to improve the quality, productivity and capability of IT service within his team and demonstrate successes to users and management
• Ensure company IT policies compliance and guidelines are set out for our environment. Demonstrate the courage to say no to illegitimate or unreasonable requests.
• Generate customer facing and engineering/support documents.
• Deploy global IT or regional IT strategies, projects or procedures for supported applications. 
• Some travel may be required to the different ROA offices.  
• Ensure compliance of operations within area of concern with all relevant EHS regulatory requirement and SCIEX safety policies, procedures and guidelines
• Other duties/ad hoc tasks as assigned


Additional Requirements:
• ITIL certification or training is a plus
• Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus, but not mandatory

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with minimum 3 years of experience in Application Support scope
• Some knowledge of business processes, in Manufacturing and Commercial sales sector, is required
• Project management experience
Technical:
• Possess Application Development and Support background
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Knowledge of general IT Infrastructure setup
• Working experience and/or knowledge on supporting any of the following software/applications will be a very strong advantage:
o Enovia
o Catia
o MasterControl
Process-oriented and analytical:
• Process-oriented – Able to follow written guidelines and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures is critical, as is the ability to clearly document actions taken
• Have a Continuous Improvement mindset. Demonstrate ability of improving procedures and standards ensuring quality and delivery of service to customers
• Demonstrated Problem Management Root Cause Analysis skills
• Ability to perform insightful analysis of current state and recommend improvements necessary
Interpersonal:
• Able to perform effective prioritization with limited resources and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality.  
• Experience working in MNC environment and demonstrated ability to work as part of a global IT team is a must
• Experience working as part of a project team and understand how projects are executed, monitored and managed is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and relationships with business users and other global colleagues in various geographies with different cultures
• Confident and eagerness to learn and grow, actively seeks feedbacks to improve.
• A dynamic individual with an outgoing personality and always keen to develop own self through learning and coaching
• Team-oriented Individual that can be assigned to work independently
Soft Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
• Strong communicator in English with ability to maintain open communication with different user groups and customers
• Able to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner
• Holds a valid work pass in Singapore.
