Description

Are you passionate about helping sales professionals meet and exceed their goals by using customer insights and data? We are hiring an experienced analyst professional who wants to identify and fix root causes to simplify and automate our business processes.

As a Senior Analyst, you will work with our sales ops management and sales leaders in North America to analyze sales data and profitability, while providing data-driven insights toward the commercial organization's financial direction. You will lead the sales- forecasting and financial performance reporting, and evaluate areas of risk and opportunity. The Senior Analyst for Sales Operations will empower the business with data and analysis to support decision-making. The scope of this role would be focused on description, predictive and prescriptive analytics related to market dynamics, sales opportunities, funnel management, and revenue trends. This individual must feel comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment, and present well to a broad range of audiences, including senior leadership. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.

This is a high visibility role to impact and influence business outcomes through strong business partnering and critical thinking. The right person for this role is intellectually curious and always anticipates the needs of the business. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Sales Operations in the North American Commercial Operations team. 

Responsibilities
Planning, Reporting & Analysis
• Develop, implement, and maintain analytical tools to help predict and analyze key financial performance to share with commercial leadership to influence decisions and drive growth
• Coordinate distribution of monthly sales reporting package and variance analysis
• Design, develop, and maintain dynamic financial and forecast reporting tools to increase accuracy and improve efficiency
• Coordinates the financial sales planning and quota process, data analytics and ad-hoc financial analysis
• Drive connection with finance team to ensure all sales & sales related metrics are reconciled across company scorecards and dashboards
• Coordinate and document processes for the internal financial reporting systems
• Partner with finance, sales, and incentive compensation departments in the preparation of analyses
• Prepare presentations
Strategic Planning
• Assist with the annual sales plan and quota creation process
• Assist with cash hardware, sales funnel, and revenue/hardware bookings forecasting updates
• Develop and drive analysis to identify, evaluate, and quantify risks and opportunities across the North American sales Areas
• Develop benchmarking analyses and reports to assist in strategy development
• Conduct special financial and business related studies
• Design and review critical meaningful metrics to inspire change across the broader commercial organization
• Translate day-to-day business practices into actionable information for Commercial leadership
• Work with Senior Manager to present at regional and national sales meetings and new hire trainings to assist providing training on corporate and business practice policies.

Job Requirements



Qualifications


• Previous experience working in a finance or accounting department is required (5+ years financial analysis experience)
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Business/Accounting/Finance focus preferred)
• Advanced skills in excel and outstanding analytical, research, and statistical skills including experience analyzing and manipulating large amounts of financial, competitive, and transactional data 
• Experience and knowledge with financial modeling techniques in excel
• Experience in data acquisition techniques strongly preferred (e.g. SQL)
• Experience with using databases and reporting tools to automate financial reporting through the use of visual reporting techniques (i.e. graphs and conditional formatting)
• Experience in creating and automating dashboards, standard reports, scorecards, ad-hoc reports, and data visualization that provide key business insights
• Experience working in a cross-functional environment and interacting with multiple departments
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Critical thinker open to learning new ideas/skills; flexible and excited by a challenge
• Demonstrated high level of critical thinking and business sense
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Natural bias toward action and a track record of bringing the answers before management asks the question
• Preferred skills – subject matter expert in ERP and CRM systems such as Oracle, OBIEE, and Salesforce.com; Power BI or Tableau experience is a plus
