Description

Implant Direct is seeking a Senior Accountant with a positive, can-do attitude, and the ability to thrive in a team-based atmosphere.  The Sr. Accountant will have an active role in the monthly account analysis, month-end closing process, and fixed asset management.  This position reports to the Accounting Manager and works closely with the Accounts Payable and other internal departments. The right candidate will be invested in their own growth, be open to development and feedback, and able to build a professional rapport with colleagues from different backgrounds, experience levels, and workstyles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Work closely with the Accounting Manager to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Participate in month-end closing as the preparer of journal entries and account reconciliations, ensure closing is completed in the required time period for corporate accounting, and prepare quarterly schedules. Potential for reviewer duties.
  • Support the department by cross training on the responsibilities of the GL and Cost Accounting areas, such as annual physical inventory counts, leasing project, and other controllership initiatives.
  • Backup the Hyperion administrator.
  • Responsible for any of the company’s major financial cycles such as  daily cash management, fixed asset register management, state and local use taxes, deferred revenue, prepaids, equity, accrued liabilities, etc.
  • Assist with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance and audits, as necessary.
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests, as needed.






Job Requirements



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience
Preferred Requirements:
  • 1 year in public accounting
  • 1 year GAAP Accounting Experience
