The Scan and Design Services Center Manager for NobelProcera is responsible for planning, executing and the follow up of the processes within the department. Ensuring the success of business continuity with the right level of resources available as well as producing all products according to standard operating procedures while delivering on time, and within budget. The successful incumbent serves as a role model for the team by demonstrating adherence to the Company’s leadership anchors and all policies and procedures established.
  • Plans and leads Scan & Design Services tasks such as: Receiving (physical stone model from customer or 3D Scan file, identification of implant platforms, disinfection), Scanning, 3D Designing (utilizing various design software systems), Customer Approvals, Submitting order ready for production of dental prosthetic and supporting Post Market Surveillance.
  • Continuously  monitor and communicate department KPIs to team and report to site management; drive department and site KPIs as well as individual goals for self and team as defined by Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team
  • Conduct annual performance reviews, devise individual development plans and  participate in the salary review process; guide/mentor/coach and conduct appropriate corrective action(s) or performance improvement plans; participate in the recruitment of new hires; ensure adherence to all employee related policies and procedures
  • Responsible for department and/or cost center(s) budget(s); approve vendor invoices and weekly time and attendance activities within area of responsibility; ensure appropriate allocation / utilization of resource / head-count requirements within the limitations as defined by the Plant Manager
  • Actively participate in the budget and goal setting processes 
  • Support as SME to Project management for development/improvement projects within areas of responsibility
  • Propose continuous improvements within the department or the production site
  • Drive continuous improvements in the department to ensure the successful achievement of KPIs and business objectives
  • Implement, manage and sustain the 5S (including work environment safety programs) in the department; Champion all continuous improvement and change management programs; serve as a role model within the plant; train and nominate operators to administrate associated tasks and processes such as machine and equipment cleaning;
  • Partner with other departments to reach Site and Company goals
  • Ensure adherence to environmental policy and procedure as required by regulatory / governing bodies such as 21 CFR 820, ISO13485 and OSHA 1910
  • Report machine/equipment issues, non-calibrated measurement tools and observations for non conform parts to necessary management and quality assurance
  • Support and drive projects as assigned by direct manager

Job Requirements


  • Four year college degree or equivalent work experience within Dental industry, Medical Device / Pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • 2 years prior leadership experience successfully managing people and projects in a dental manufacturing or dental laboratory environment
  • 2 years experience working with 3D CAD/CAM systems (3Shape, DentalWings,Exocad, Nobel Procera, 3D Printing)
  • Effective, clear communication skills both verbal and written including technical writing of SOPs

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing Methodology or Continuous Improvement
  • Prior experience in skills training and coaching performance for success
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, Hardware, Network); SAP a plus
  • Willingness to travel internationally according to business needs
  • Proficient in English (Written, Spoken)
