Regional Sales Manager, DACH/Benelux

We are looking for
A highly result driven and motivated person to lead and develop our business in DACH/Benelux. The person we are seeking will become a key member of our sales organization. You will be reporting to the Senior Regional Sales Manager, Europe.

You will implement sales strategies and action plans with a hands-on approach to ensure sales and profitability goals in your region. This will be achieved in close collaboration with local distributors and partners. Some markets will require start-up activities therefore an innovative and proactive attitude is necessary. The position involves extensive traveling.

The ambition is to grow the business by 10% per year for the next 5 years. The tools to deliver this growth are:

• Expanding the business through our distributors, particularly within the POL/primary care  segment;
• Collaborating with HemoCue Corporate to build effective campaigns obtaining market access for new additions to the HemoCue product lines, e.g. HbA1c;
• Regular customer meetings (co-visits) to offer expertise to drive the sales process;
• Manage and drive opportunity funnel to achieve desired unit targets. A deep interest in markets and competitor activities in the region is necessary.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability of executing strategy by implementing growth plans. You must possess a good understanding of the diagnostics product market in the region, and have a proven record of balancing demands of multiple internal and external customers.  You utilize problem solving and identify enablers and blockers for success, and suggest effective actions and countermeasures. The candidate lives in the DACH/Benelux region.

Your responsibilities and tasks will include:
• Achieve and exceed annual revenue budget
• Establish coherent and state-of-the art sales tactics for the region, taking into account competitive intelligence
• Optimize sales through the implementation of effective campaigns aligned with CPs
• Working collaboratively across functions including marketing, and customer service to lead sales resource demands
• Ensure the development of pre-launch sales plans for all new products within the planning horizon
• Increase market share through effective selling to assigned segments
• Ensuring all partners are well trained, enabling a high level of HemoCue product knowledge and sales skills

The ideal candidate has a B. Sc. in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent, sales experience from Medical Devices and Medical Diagnostics products and experience in leading distributors in DACH/Benelux health care market. The following personal competencies/skills are desired:

• Proven experience implementing sales strategies and experience of working with a direct sales force and channel routes to market.
• Results driven, proactive and a systematic, problem-solving oriented way of thinking.
• >5 years experience with sales of medical devices or diagnostic products.
• >5 years experience from European health care market
• Can identify performance barriers and timely deliver under challenging circumstances.
• Proven experience with independently implementing commercial strategies within the region
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, flexible, inter-cultural, global mindset.
• High degree of customer focus, strong clinical & technical understanding.
• A highly motivated, high-energy individual with drive, and the ability to respectfully and efficient balance between own and others interest and view of opinions.
• Stress resilient, able to work in a high-pressure environment (but within a respectful, open, and collaborative culture).

Fluent in English and German, both oral and written.
