We are looking for a Regional Controller Southern Europe who will be responsible for directing the overall Nobel Biocare Finance activities, Forecasting, Budgeting and financial analysis in his/her scope area.
Reports to: Head of Regional Controlling EMEA & EDM.
Main accountabilities
Responsible for the oversight of the finance/accounting activities of the region comprised of Spain, Portugal and Italy selling units including development and implementation of accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and the preparation of financial statements
Directs activities associated with the establishment of a robust operational financial controls and reporting environment for the region supporting the business growth objectives
Work closely with functional and country managers in conducting detailed financial and business analyses to identify potential problems, determine root causes and recommend appropriate solutions
Develop and maintain forecasting processes that accurately predict future performance and motivate actions to insure it hits agreed upon target
Drive operational business improvement initiatives on Gross Margin, Working Capital & Operating expenses.
Managing the accounting team to support submission of accurate financial statements that are compliance with US GAAP and DHR accounting practices as well as statutory accounting
Ensures all policies, processes and transactions are in conformance with the overall Op Co and Danaher Corporate Policy; ensure adequate internal controls are in place, attend to Internal and Statutory audits as well as SOX compliance procedures
Eliminate breaches of internal controls and ensure compliance with Danaher Corporate control and compliance standards
Drive the use of corporate tools for continuous improvement within the Finance Organization and the wider business
Function as business partner for Regional Team members assisting them in budgeting, forecasting and managing spending
Support acquisition and management of talent, assess performance, devise development plans and motivate the team to build a strong and effective financial management team
BA Degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA Degree and/or CPA are preferred
3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role and managing direct reports
Knowledge of various reporting systems – SAP and Cognos; ability to create reports and presentations for senior leadership is essential
Strong strategic financial acumen to anticipate consequences and business impacts, drive levers to affect financial results, and make recommendations for business growth and controllership improvements
Excellent analytical skills including the ability to perform and train others in variance analysis
Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience working closely with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and focus self and team on critical assignments
Highly self-motivated, possess executive presence in terms of managing up in the organization and be able to communicate clearly, effectively and efficiently issues that have substantial impact to the business
