Job Title:   R&D Quality Team Lead
Level:   M1
Reports to:  Senior R&D Quality Manager
Location:  Clare
 
 

Overview:


The R&D Quality Team Lead will be responsible for the supervision of a team of R&D Quality Engineers and supporting design projects and design change activity at the Co. Clare site

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior R&D Quality Manager, typical related responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
• Manage R&D Quality personnel to ensure that project deliverables are achieved within agreed timelines and in compliance with global and local procedures/work instructions.
• Manage the design change assessment activities for change controls to meet internal/external customer needs
• Manage and provide resources to act as quality representatives on design projects
• Provide on-going QA support as required to R&D, System Integration, Packaging Development, Customer Support, IT and the Value Assignment functions
• Maintain local design control procedures/work instructions and processes to ensure compliance with regulations and BC global procedures.
• Training staff on the requirements of the design control and design change processes at BCII and regulatory or standard requirements
• Ensure quality issues are communicated to the management team such that they are aware of any significant variance from targets or potential opportunities or problems
• Support DBS improvement initiatives and effectively use DBS tools including Visual Daily Management, Visual Project Management, Problem Solving and Kaizen events to ensure quality, safety, productivity, on time delivery and support of internal customers
• Management of direct reports including performance reviews and on-going development
• Designate for Senior R&D Quality Manager, as required
• Other duties as prescribed by Senior R&D Quality Manager

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Education & Experience:
• B.Sc., M.Sc., or PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or other relevant technical field
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years experience in a regulated (FDA desirable) healthcare or related environment
• Desirable to have previous experience in Design Controls and/or Risk Management
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
• Strong team leader with the ability to identify and drive quality improvements
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
