Description

Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:

• Perform on-the-job training and mentor Quality Technicians to ensure that products and processes comply with documented incoming inspection process.

• Participate in new product introduction meeting with Engineering/Project team and establish incoming inspection plan for inspection.

• Establish, maintain and update inspection plans.

• Perform incoming inspection to ensure suppliers product quality fully complied.

• Update results of inspection in system (Oracle).

• Register new tools used for incoming inspection.

• Ensure tools used for incoming inspection are calibrated and maintained according to regulations.

• Participate in quality audits e.g. internal audit, ISO9001/13485/Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

• Compile weekly and monthly incoming inspection report with trend (as and when required).

• Update and maintain existing work instructions and procedures.

• Issue non-conformance report and provide any necessary assistance to required department(s).

• Participate in continuous improvement activities in a cross-functional environment (e.g. Kaizen)

• Participate as a sub-leader in incoming inspection kaizen. Ensure proper closure on all open action items.

• Resolve concerns and issues raised by incoming inspection team.

• Work to establish functional jigs for incoming inspection

• Conduct Gemba at supplier’s site to resolve quality issues (as and when required)

• Ensure compliance of operations within area of concern with all relevant EHS regulatory requirement and SCIEX safety policies, procedures and guidelines

• Other duties/ ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

• Experience in working out functional jig for incoming inspection is an added advantage

• Have knowledge of ISO9001/13485/Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) will be advantageous

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Diploma degree holders in Engineering/Science/Mechatronic or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Incoming QA/QC environment

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

• Use of measuring instruments e.g. Vernier caliper, gauges, micrometer

• Possess strong interpersonal skills that can interact with cross functional departments.

• Ability to take direction quickly and work under minimal supervision.

• Have knowledge of Microsoft Applications is preferred.
