Description

Position Summary and Overview:

This is an entry level role into the Quality Assurance (QA) department to support tasks associated with the site quality obligations and batch release. The associate will be required to have an excellent eye for detail and be expected to follow existing policies, procedures and work instructions to plan and conduct tasks. Instructions and guidance will be provided by current Officers and Senior Officers.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tasks that support one or more areas of the quality system. May include tasks in the following areas:
  • Quality Systems
    • Review and approve routine batch records. 
    • With experience, will identify and resolve non-conformances and approve non-routine batch records.
    • Conduct tasks in support of the non-conformance and CAPA processes
    • Support QMS record management, document controls, training and archiving.
    • Support the organization during internal and external audits.
    • Collect and track quality system data and metrics for routine reporting, including Daily Management and Management Review.
    • Other quality system tasks, as assigned.
  • Premarket QA / Design Assurance / R&D Quality
    • When requested, support Senior QA Officer(s) on assigned tasks in support of Design QA
    • Collect and track design quality data and metrics for routine reporting, including Daily Management
  • Applies general quality and product knowledge to complete assigned tasks. 
  • Serve as a resource to support other associates.
  • Use Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to collect and track metrics.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with QA colleagues and wider QRA team.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, medical or technical field. 
  • Previous knowledge of Quality Assurance, preferably medical device or IVD preferred.

Competencies:

  • High level of integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to apply general scientific and quality knowledge to effectively complete assigned tasks to a high level.
  • Team player.

Travel % of Travel, include approximate overnight stays per week:

  • Travel expectations within this role are none (0%)

  • This role shall be based at Newcastle upon Tyne
