Optimize the work ensuring that they are 100% focused on executing a detailed plan to deliver the KPIs and using the proper tools to implement action plans.
This role will perform finance partnering activities at a management level to support strategy and decision making with critical business insights. This role will support the General Manager and the teams to address the requirements for financial analysis for strategic and business planning and reporting as well as ad-hoc requests. In addition, the role will support Sr. Finance Director directly to ensure the alignment and delivery of controls and compliance initiatives in Brazil.
Key responsibilities
Deliver a plan and a strategic agenda to analyze KPIs, assuring that future adjustments, when necessary, but always focusing on future achievements.   This position will break the KPIs into a monthly plan for achieving the KPI targets.  This will be a project plan including the details of resources, responsibilities and activities to reach the target of each KPI.  It will also create a tracking mechanism that will in the future allow the team and its key stakeholders to track and monitor the evolution of the targets and make any needed adjustments. 
Strategy & Performance Management:
  1. Support delivery of LBS Brazil Profit & Loss Financial Performance Targets
  2. Assist with brand strategy. Support development of annual brand planning process
  3. Perform monthly LBS Brazil performance review (business performance and risk management) and provide advice  on investment opportunities and cost management activities
  4. Gross to net understanding and analytics and Working Capital optimization
  5. KPI focus and interface with LBS Brazil team
  6. Interface and support to Global Finance and Marketing strategy & reporting
  7. Manage the promotional resource planning, and project resource allocation to optimise return on investment in consultation with customer groups & OpCo Director.
  8. Co-ordinate with sales and marketing and supply chain for consensus forecasting review and approval

  19. Contract optimisation
  20. Interface with BI team on resource allocation to brands
    Risk Management and Controls:
  21. Help set ‘Tone from the Top’ for value based decision making.        
  22. Review commercial contracts for appropriate teams & conditions in order to drive the ‘Right’ behaviour
  23. Play an active decision-making role to ensure that financial results are optimized in accordance with ethical and group standards.
  24. Oversight of appropriate revenue recognition
  25. Proactive approach to risk management.  Anticipate key business and compliance risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans in coordination with local teams (Finance Compliance manager, Finance Board etc).
    Organization Engagement:

  28. Cross-function and above country matrix navigation & management
  29. Lead process improvement and improve governance control
  30. Work with other business functions to enhance improvements and drive change
Detailed responsibilities
  1. For each KPI, build a target (monthly, having as baseline, the current year strategic plan).  Note that KPIs should be related within them and add up to the total business targets. Each individual KPI should be tied to the product line´s targets.
  2. Ensure each target is adequately supported by the right structure, resources and proper tools to deliver it.
  3. Provide these targets to the team and review them before implementation. If potential gaps are anticipated, present an action plan to close the gaps and if incremental resources are needed, ask for approval by the board or (if only relevant to the Business) to the OpCo head.  If potential upsides are mapped and additional resources are needed, present a proposal. This action plan must be build in partnership with strategic internal stakeholders and sales key positions such as national sales managers.
  4. Track the evolution of the monthly targets during the month and flag if there is any deviation to the expected trend, always focusing on future goals adjustments.
  5. At each month´s closing, monitor the achievement of each target, analyse sources of deviations and present action plans to correct them. Engage the team on building strategic action plans and creating an exciting environment to run the strategic agenda of Brazil’s Commercial team project management contribution.
All the above will be done with the support of the team and the individual as needed.
KPIs (this KPIs must be reviewed and confirmed)
  • Sales:  Monthly Sales by BU and by brand
  • Reach:  Visit of customers
  • Indirect sales:  £k Sales generated to the Customers visited by the sales team, with detail by brand and equipment.
  • Selling effectiveness:   % of Sale effectiveness by product lines
  • Gross to Net:   G2N spend (working and non working spend) by type of customer, product line.
  • Distribution:   Numeric distribution for focus products, with detail of how this should be achieved by customer (using Distribution reports of each product line)
  • Working Capital:   KPIs by product line

Job Requirements



-  Graduation in Economy, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar;
- Desirable MBA in Project Management or PMI certification
- Fluent in English
- Solid experience in project management for Commercial Businessi in industries such as: Pharmaceutical, Chemistry, Diagnostics or life Sciences.
- Ideally >10 years finance experience and 3~5 years team leadership experience.
- Practical experience in multi-national Finance Planning & Partnering roles, especially experience as responsible for P&L
- Strong analytical & interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence senior Commercial & Finance staff in a complex, multi-cultural environment
- Good presentation & communication skills
