The Project Manager leads a cross-functional project team to design and launch dental imaging devices and software on time, on spec and on cost in the regulated medical device industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead a multidisciplinary product development team through all phases of Waterfall or Agile new product development, from initial concepts through launch. 
  • Drive continuous improvement of execution through the team’s use of DBS (Danaher Business System) culture and tools.
  • Use RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consult, Inform) to ensure ownership and execution of activities and deliverables is distributed to the appropriate team members and functional leaders.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to ensure successful Design Transfer and transition to full production.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Service organizations to ensure successful preparation and execution of commercial launch.
  • Provide process guidance to project team and cross-functionally within engineering department.  Identify and implement targeted improvements to work instructions and forms.
  • Lead cross-functional project team activities, workshops and kaizens as required.
  • Proactively lead root cause / countermeasure exercises and drive actions to closure in a timely manner.
  • Represent project activities during audits, both internal and external (FDA, ISO, etc.).
  • Lead execution of engineering change orders related to project.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in science, engineering or other technical discipline
  • Alternatively, 10+ years in the medical device industry in Engineering or Operations may be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in New Product Development and/or Design Transfer, including leadership responsibility (project and/or functional)
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Medical Device or other regulated industry experience preferred
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum software development environment preferred
