Description

The project leader EMEA and Asia is responsible for the formulation and implementation of a robust business strategy with the goal to identify new business opportunity and achieve the company’s overall objective for regional growth. The project leader EMEA and Asia will develop a go-to-market model combining the ability to scale focus teams with market penetration of key partners in each segment. The project leader EMEA and Asia will integrate current regional business and market opportunities jointly with new approaches, re-defined segmentation and market potential into a holistic strategy and roadmap to further expand business in region. Besides developing blueprint for the development of markets in terms of regions and verticals and go-to-market strategy, the project leader EMEA and Asia will also lead the strategy implementation and ensure sustainable success. This role is a central role in terms of strategy and planning to allow focus on valuable markets for the company. This role will work in close partnership with the EMEA and Asia regional sales leaders, global marketing team and global product managers to conduct Voice of Customer analysis and key stakeholder/key opinion leader engagement to understand first hand customer needs and fundamental drivers and be able to critically analyses them as inputs to the strategy.

Key Resonsibilities

Analyse current and future market segments and build visibility 
  • Based on the existing company’s segmentation identify the right sources to expand market knowledge by focusing on qualifying and adding required information per market segment 
  • Create market visibility by developing and evolving a view of total market size for the region and major countries, by prioritizing vertical, leveraging external and internal sources of data to close the gaps
  • Partner with global strategy team to analyse and identify customers and markets which are underdeveloped or not focused
  • Identify opportunities to develop local campaigns based on market segmentation and focus customers; track each market for best practice sharing or improvement as necessary

 Identify local strategic approach and implementation

  • Identify additional opportunities to develop local initiative and focus customers embedded in strategy
  • Develop a go-to market model that combines the ability to scale focus teams with market penetration of key partners in each segment
  • Integrate current regional business and market opportunities jointly with new approaches, re-defined segmentation and market potential into a holistic strategy and roadmap to expand business in region
  • Leadership in implement the strategy and ensure sustainable success; bridge cross-regional/cross-functional collaboration and break organizational silos

Relationship Management

As a key partner to global and regional sales and marketing and product management team

  • Contribute to annual planning process
  • Pulse check on key s relationship and actively forge closer network
  • Conduct interviews with customers and draw insights to act upon
  • Support local exhibitions and tradeshows

Success Metrics (Impact of this position if job is well executed)

As this role is a strategic leadership position the expectation is that based on one high-growth market, a strategic approach and roadmap blueprint will be developed and proven to access new market segments and extend market coverage and share in existing segments. The approach and blueprint then will be rolled out based on the experience and lesson learnt into the rest EMEA and Asia markets to ensure sustainable growth and business expansion of our EMEA headquarter operations in Regensdorf.

This role is also expected to lead the successful implementation of strategic initiatives across EMEA and Asia regions and establish the continuous improvement system before handing over to regional responsibilities.

Reporting Line

The Project Leader EMEA and Asia will report to the General Manager of EMEA, Asia & OEM in X-Rite Switzerland GmbH

Location

The position is located in X-Rite's EMEA HQ in Zurich-Regensdorf (CH)Ability to travel to Asia at least once a month and also to various locations within EMEA

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • University degree in Economics, Marketing Business or similar, Masters of Business Administration (MBA) form top level business school would be considered advantageous
  • 5+ years with strong focus on go-to-market strategies and change management; passion and enthusiasm for driving change and continuous improvement
  • Proven success record in corporate strategy formulation and implementation
  • Relevant work experience in Asia, especially China, handy with understanding cultural intonation especially in C-level engagement
  • Must have strong critical thinking skills, ability to synthesize a collection of facts into logical and actionable conclusions
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills. Proven ability to drive results through effective management of cross functional and cross-cultural partners and teams without formal authority
  • Experience in go to market models, market access and long-term strategy planning
  • Success in building, tracking and managing project plans to committed deadlines, using established project management tools and best practices
  • Demonstrated success in driving independently strategic and change programs using metric-driven approach and a mindset of contains improvement
  • Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English on business negotiation level, additional European language (D,F, Sp, l) would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and in spoken and written communication, extensive international background and capable to build relationships and network across EMEA and Asia
  • High level of adaptability and mobility; Ability to travel up to 50% internationally
