Title:    Production Scientist (Rep I Production Operations) - BV - Permanent
  

Level:     P1
     
Department:   Formulation Department

Location:   Clare

Reporting to:   BV Formulation Supervisor / Manager

Responsibilities:


• Manufacture of Blood Virus & Immunoassay Diagnostic Reagents
• Work with technical operations, validation and other relevant departments to lead  the implementation of new process introductions and process improvements, including validation activities
• In process testing of Products BV & IA Diagnostic Reagents
• Training with SME in Marseille with a view of becoming the SME for the site (potentially 1-3 month periods depending on project)
• Delegate for department Supervisor when required
• Represent the department at CFTM’s where required
• Ensure all procedures reflect current practices
• Daily update of the +QDIP board and present at daily management
• Implement a DBS visual aid to help in the tracking of projects for the department
• Ensure the department is ready for audits with no moderate or major findings as an outcome
• Ability to communicate well both within and outside the department with peers and colleagues
• Upkeep of neat and accurate written records as per relevant Formulation procedures.
• Compliance with set Housekeeping / Safety / Environmental standards and regulations within the department.
• Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, requires moderate supervision

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with experience in a Formulation / Manufacturing environment desirable
• Experience in a Laboratory environment with good working knowledge of laboratory techniques.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as Conjugation, analytical equipment, pH meter, pipettes, fume hoods, spectrophotometers, etc
• Intensive knowledge of GMP and safety practices
• Use of Oracle or an equivalent ERP system an advantage
