Job Purpose:  Lead the achievement of daily, monthly, and yearly operational objectives for the Machine Shop Value Stream within the New Port Richey, FL site through support of yearly improvement plans and leadership of daily execution to those plans. This position will have direct responsibility for the production operations on all three shifts.  This position is responsible for daily results in the critical KPI areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, and Cost for the Value Stream.  This position will have a key focus on the on-going development of an operations team and processes capable of meeting current and future performance objectives with a strong focus on Productivity, Scrap, and On-Time Deliveries (OTD).


• Safety: 50% reduction in year-over-year OSHA Recordables
• Quality: Achieve yearly Internal Quality goals (scrap $’s, yield, etc.)
• Delivery: 95% On-time delivery to Assembly area need dates
• Inventory: Achieve WIP + Semi-FG inv. goals through Lean Conversion
• Cost: Achieve yearly productivity improvement goals
Achieve yearly budget goals for budgets of responsibility
• Employee Satisfaction: Achieve year-over-year Survey score improvement goals
Maintain employee turnover below 5%

• Achieve yearly Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost, and Productivity targets through:
• Effective and efficient Daily Management leadership
• Effective and efficient Problem Solving using the Danaher Problem Solving Process
• Action Plan development and execution
• Build and develop a world class value stream operations team capable of meeting current and future business objectives, to include providing mentoring, rigorous development planning and succession planning for the critical roles.
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
• Develop the skill and capability of the roles within the 3-shift Machine Shop team, to build a high level of base competency and cross training across roles, through effective performance management and strategic organization planning
• Act as a change agent to implement a constant state of improvement by “doing things differently”.
• Support the implementation of DBS (Danaher Business System) tools such as 4E (Safety), SMED, Lean Conversion, VRK, etc. to achieve breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost performance.
• Improve the planning / scheduling processes and the overall material flow within the fabrication department, to reduce lead times and increase flexibility
• Take the lead in developing well-functioning cross-departmental relationships and teams for the achievement of the business’s prioritized objectives.
• Drive the year-over-year improvement in employee survey results within areas of responsibility and support improvements across the company.
• Administer company policies and procedures knowledgeably, including but not limited to the attendance and “time clocking” policies.
• Lead the performance management and merit planning & execution process for employees of responsibility.
• Plan and determine staffing requirements based on an understanding of goals and objectives, and allocate resources effectively for optimal results.
• Within areas of responsibility, direct/lead the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment by eliminating hazards, training employees, and promoting safety awareness.  Continually upgrade, direct, comply with, and enforce Company safety programs and policies.

Job Requirements


• Bachelor’s degree in Operations / Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Management is required.
• At least three years’ experience within a manufacturing organization with a metric and results driven culture, required.
• Prior experience working within &/or managing a machine shop, highly preferred.
• Prior “front-line” manufacturing production supervision experience, required.
• Prior daily management, process development and organizational development experience, required.
• Prior experience with utilizing lean methodology and tools to improve operations and / or overall business processes, required.
• Experience setting and managing to budgets and profit targets, required.
• Demonstrated success planning and managing manufacturing savings and inventory goals, highly desirable.
• Prior Aerospace &/or highly-regulated industry experience, preferred.
