Description

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The primary role is to be new product core team representative for Service, responsible for ensuring worldwide service and support teams are prepared to support new products.  Project manager for reliability and safety update programs.  Provides leadership for new product and sustaining support resources relating to efforts to improve reliability, usability and supportability.  Gathers and analyzes data to assist the business in making support decisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Represents Service on NPI Teams to ensure service deliverables are completed on time 
  • Based on technical aspects of the product, recommends service strategy and offerings
  • Represents Service on NPI Teams to ensure service deliverables are completed on time, drives participation in pilot builds and design reviews
  • Drive understanding and implementation of serviceability requirements
  • Provides the core team with service information and issues on the predecessor product to improve serviceability
  • Inform management of issues so they are better prepared for tollgates
  • Interfaces with the EU NPI team to coordinate service preparation efforts
  • Interfaces with global service managers to better understand their requirements and communicate service implementation plans
  • Represents service on sustaining projects and drive implementation of update plans

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years experience in technical support, service planning or product service
  • Associates Degree, BA or BS preferred or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the internet
