Description

The Sales & Application Support is a field-based position responsible for customer retention, company and product acceptance. The primary function is to conduct instrument installations, solve customers’ clinical application problems, develop education and training plans, develop and provide seminars and training for our customers, and provide clinical applications support to Sales Representatives. Drive clinical trials and customer loyalty.
  •  Support includes pre-sales and exhibition demonstrations, training on instrument operation and maintenance procedures, installation assistance and field support.
  • Actively present hematology solutions value propositions to customers through presentations, on-site and off-site system demonstrations / evaluations.
  • Work closely with ADD regional/local team to protect, maintain and grow the Hematology business
  • Establish and maintain superior product knowledge and be capable of sale product featuresand benefits
  • Demonstrates single system products, participates in customer training and pre- and post-sales support of clinical product offerings.
  • Participates in internal and customer clinical trials.
  • Participates in training courses for customers and company personnel on the working aspects of Hematology products
  • Communicates the technical and clinical information, ensuring customer utilizes the instruments with efficiency and skill in appropriate applications.
  • Participate in product promotion for tradeshows and seminars.
  • Become a trustable consulting partner.
  • Provides most complex feedback and recommendations from customers to product development groups.
  • Interact with other product line project groups to provide consistency across product offerings
  • Drive the continuous improvement of the activities and processes which add value to the customer and business.  Monitor customer satisfaction targets.
  • Keep current in development in the field of Hematology through attending scientific exhibitions/meetings and be aware of competitor technologies and developments within the industry.
  • Adjust priorities and/or project tasks to enhance the customer experience
  • Successfully sell the value of Beckman Coulter hematology instrument and reagent solutions.
  • Identify new needs and provide related solutions not initially identified by the customer.
  • Manage existing accounts and exceed sales growth expectations for instrument, reagents.Complete all administrative responsibilities in an accurate and timely fashion.
This position supports Beckman Coulter customers, field sales and service employees with clinical application troubleshooting, installation and integration into customer work flow, demonstrations, and in-service training
The position interacts with all levels of Technical Application Specialists, Sales Representatives, Product Managers, Product Specialists and all levels of employees and management within customer accounts. The nature of these interactions include answering questions, solving basic and advanced problems, conducting instrument demonstrations and installations, and educating on clinical applications and product information

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • This position requires self-motivation, independent thinking, accountability, strong organizational skills and customer orientation, strong technical skills on the product line supported (Hematology), and excellent communication skills and ability to manage conflict.
  • The problems are usually technical in nature and will involve answering questions on product performance, features and benefits and troubleshooting. Some problems will be more complex and may require involvement of other resources
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical or equivalent. Hematology background
  • 5+ years clinical laboratory experience, or 3-5 years of technical services/support experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Hematology products (Instruments and Reagents). 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support Portugal and Galicia customers
  • Driving license is essential
  • Ability to travel (up to 45%).
  • Be Fluent in English speaking and writing
  • Spanish fluency will be valued
