Description

The Blow Mold Process Technician is a "hands-on" position that plans, and coordinates manufacturing equipment and processes to produce high quality injection/blow molded product.  The Process Technician is responsible for setting up and/or revising manufacturing processes and assisting the manufacturing operations in problem solving and continuous process improvements.

Duties:
  • Setup and operate Injection Blow Mold equipment such as molds, presses and auxiliary equipment.
  • Maintain and clean tooling/presses throughout shift.
  • While monitoring process record all required process data on hard copy or electronic form as prescribed.
  • Monitor processes throughout the shift and effect any adjustments necessary to ensure production and quality of material.
  • Ensure that equipment is operating safely and is producing proper quality material to process cycle time.
  • Ensure that there is no quality or production interruptions due to lack of giving or seeking information.
  • Recommend and participate in changes to improve efficiency of the processes.
  • Inform Production Leadership, where necessary of all events effecting the flow of production.
  • Complete PM’s on tooling in accordance with documentation guidelines and timeframes.
  • Must be able to lift up 45 lbs regularly.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to 12 hours.
  • Bending, reaching and repetitive motion required.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Injection/Extrusion Blow Mold processing.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering with emphasis on Plastic Processing preferred
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Direct injection molding experience is a plus.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to safely operate equipment in accordance with all applicable procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to effectively interface with customers, researchers, sales representatives and manufacturing personnel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with focus on timely and accurate project documentation.
  • Above average mechanical aptitude with ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and perform light repairs to tooling and machinery.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fundamental knowledge of proper handling, processing, and troubleshooting of engineered materials.
