Description

Responsibilities: Mainly responsible for the Operation phase of the PPP processes.


Installation Phase: Starts after the contract sign with the SPV. In this phase the Operations Manager will be the main responsible.

  1. Generates the project action plan according to the contract terms with the National Sales Manager (NSM)

  2. Assigns the actions to the related managers or associates in BCTR, Dx and subcontractor,

  3. Sets the weekly meetings with the project team

  4. Updates the action plan according to the weekly meetings and supports the on time delivery of the laboratory

  5. Supports the contract process for the 3rd parties to sign it on time

  6. Visits the hospital or hospitals which will move to the new PPP hospital and starts collaboration with the lab doctors and executives

  7. Defines the test lists in-lab and external lab and shares it with the project team

  8. Defines the lab equipment list and consumables list with the purchasing department

  9. Supports the lab design (furnishing and operational design)

  10. Generates the Lab Service Declaration with the SPV, for submitting to MoH

  11. Supports the recruitment process for the project leaders and logistics specialists to hire them on time

  12. Supports the on-boarding process of the project leader

  13. Visits the site weekly to ensure the construction and installation is running on the right direction before and after the acceptance of the lab. areas (with related associates, like PPP tech. service or NSM)

  14. Supports the LIS integration process and fine tuning of the test lists at the LIS

  15. Supports the training process of the staff hired by the subcontractor

  16. Supports the subcontractor for quality documentation and licensing

  17. Generates simulation plans with the SPV and starts the simulations before the opening

       Operation Phase

  1. Visits the labs under operation regularly (weekly, biweekly or monthly according to the size, distance and the early - mid or late operation phases)

  2. Establishes good relations with the local SPV and MoH executives, visits them regularly

  3. Gets the daily management reports from the project leaders, compiles and reports back to the NSM

  4. Supports the project leaders for their difficulties in management of the laboratories

  5. Checks and controls the efficiency metrics for consumables

  6. Checks and controls the SLA penalty points

  7. Checks and controls the progress payments monthly both from the A/P and A/R perspective

  8. Defines the additional needs for the laboratory with the local team and submits them for the approval of the NSM and Purchasing manager

  9. Checks and controls the 3rd party provider operations (contract management)

  10. Sets the annual targets and KPIs of the Project leaders and Logistics Specialists as their managers

  11. Sets up weekly calls with the project leaders, logistics specialists and NSM for follow up, update and assigning actions to achieve the targets and goals

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from Biology or Bio-Sciences (like biochemistry, microbiology, etc)
  • Master’s degree from Healthcare Management or MBA is preferable
  • 5 years of experience at a hospital laboratory as lab responsible, lab manager or as a similar executive
  • At least intermediate English speaking and writing
  • No travel restrictions
