Description

The Payroll Specialist supports the HR team with the payroll administration activities and manages the payroll records in accordance with local legislation and regulations to realize a correct and timely recording of all payrolls assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in  the preparation and processing of the payroll for around 300 employees in more than 15 countries; review and ensure accuracy of approved flexi forms and mutation sheets
  • Apply quality control and auditing measures during payroll processing to minimize errors and ensure accuracy
  • Meet or exceed all established deadlines for payroll processing-responsible for timely payout of the salaries in the divers countries
  • Assist in the coordination efforts between Payroll, Human Resources, Finance and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. labor "home" work, overtime, leave balances, head count, and retirement contribution reports)
  • Deliver headcount and salary information and other related salary items/ expenses for forecast & budget
  • Respond to payroll queries from managers and employees
  • Administer and follow up on the information needed for the different employee related insurances in the assigned countries.
  • Checking and filing the salary and insurance related papers and documents while making sure we are in compliance with SOX and other (tax) regulations.
  • Administer, check and co-approve the leave and overtime registration Assist with the reconciliation of salary related accounts for the finance department.

Qualifications

Most Important Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor level supplemented with payroll certificates (PDL)
  • Three plus years in a Payroll role with an international scope and performing all payroll functions; additional years of experience within a finance administration is a benefit
  • Knowledge of Dutch legislation and regulations, such as labor law and social security
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Experience and knowledge of and experience with ADP (Perman ESS / Streamline) preferable
  • Excellent problem solving/judgement skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
  • Proactive and open to changes and focus on quality and accuracy
  • English and Dutch required
