The Production Manager will lead and supervise daily production activities to ensure plant achieves finished loupe throughput and revenue targets, within specified costs parameters and ensure in process and final quality standards and maintained.

You will plan, direct, supervise and monitor all production activities within the site to maximize the use of the organization’s resources in order to meet established production specifications and delivery schedules and ensuring the plant is compliant with all applicable laws and regulation.

You will also collaborate with DBSL (Danaher Business System Leader) to develop/implement DBS plan, including execution of events, implementation of counter measures and monitoring of DBS commitments in the area of production are sustained. In addition, Production Manager will ensure plant maintains data and KPI measurements, effectively executes daily management protocols and achieves the defined Orascoptic Bowler goals. 


  • Develop and implement manufacturing procedures and allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity.
  • Analyze production, maintenance, and malfunction records to identify problems and recommend solutions (for example changes to procedures, workflow, or equipment) that will improve performance.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or planned downtime to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineer to ensure production process is optimized to deliver throughput and quality specifications and KPI’s.
  • Develop and maintain an effective organization through recruiting, selecting, coaching and providing performance objectives/reviews.
  • Responsible to ensure new hires are properly trained on equipment and work procedures. Ensure cross-training and development opportunities are implemented.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of cell leads who are responsible for various production activities such as assembly, processing, or packaging.
  • Manage team in daily operations, supervise cell throughput, and collaborate with Plant Manager to address deviations from Build Procedures, SOP or performance KPI’s.
  • Lead work environment initiatives to ensure a safe and productive work environment which meets all applicable laws and regulation
  • Assure compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO regulatory requirements.  
  • Assist with developing work instructions and standard operating procedures.  Prepare for internal and external quality audits and review audit results and trends.

Job Requirements



  • High School diploma required.

  • Bachelor of Science, Engineering or Technical degree OR 5+ years of professional work experience in a manufacturing setting or equivalent experience.

  • May be required to work overtime and some weekends.


  • Lean experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of MS office. Oracle experience, a plus.
  • Work experience in global working environment, a plus.
  • Experience executing on a strategic plant in a manufacturing environment.
