Position Summary and Overview:

This role is responsible for building Newcastle site capability of SAP and other systems in order to ensure robust work processes capable of supporting the growth and growing complexity of the business. The role is responsible for providing SME support to the operations; inventory management and masterdata processes. The Systems Execution Specialist will demonstrate expertise in functionality of the SAP system and other operational critical systems; be able to ensure system compliance for product supply to global markets with highly regulated requirements. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Create efficient SAP Masterdata set up and ongoing maintenance processes; compliant with product requirements.
  • Build the capability, through competency-based training, of the operations and to develop relevant systems-based KPI’s. 
  • Provide technical support for Prisym360 labelling system; including system performance, implementation and improvement opportunities. 
  • Be the SME for SAP & other operational Critical systems, working across functions to identify future operational requirements and activities; using DBS tools for continuous improvement activities. 
  • Be the SME to QA / RA department to enable full traceability of materials throughout the supply chain. 
  • Train and support departments in daily SAP processes to build capability. 
  • Be the point of contact with the central SAP team for changes and upgrades to systems.
  • Ensure compliance with IT SOX requirements within these systems. 

Job Requirements


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Expertise in ERP system functionality (SAP) 
  • Significant experience in a fast moving but highly regulated (Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices) industry, preferably including technical, quality, and operational environment experience. 
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, experience with databases. 
  • Drive and experience in leading continuous improvement ideas through to implementation. 


  • An ability to adopt and maintain a very methodical approach to their work 
  • Ability to analyse complex datasets and provide coherent summaries 
  • Strong organisational skills with a structured approach to mapping processes 
  • Well developed communication skills with the ability to work across global sites and with different levels of the business 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 

Education List of Education, Certifications, Training:

  • Science or computing degree or equivalent 

Travel % of Travel, include approximate overnight stays per week:

  • Travel expectations within this role are minimal (<10%) 


  • This role shall be based in Newcastle upon Tyne
