Videojet Italia is seeking a talented & dynamic individual to fill the position of OEM Technical Support. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing organization. The incumbent will be responsible, on the machine builder segment, for managing existing customer relationships ensuring that routine technical support needs are provided. The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying and meeting the needs of prospective customers by providing necessary technical support.

The OEM Technical Support provides technical support and training to customers by performing the following duties:

  • Provides information for the development, design, and systems integration for OEM solutions from definition phase through implementation (R&D and SAR)
  • Reviews work of OEM product development
  • Works with R&D/Third party suppliers to develop/maintain drawings for OEM solutions;
  • Builds in-house knowledge (e.g. brackets)
  • Installs and maintain OEM Product Kits together with Product Mgmt. and IT department.
  • Manages & communicates third party suppliers for bracket solutions
  • Ensures OEM technical support teams are contributing to OEM product developments, installation guides and drawing database.
  • Provides first level OEM support in areas such as OEM SAR’s, Brackets and OEM -Software.
  • Configures, assembles, integrates, and tests basic and complex new OEM systems and solutions at customer sites
  • Analyzes and diagnoses the most commonly found problems at FAT
  • Prepares new installations guides
  • Conducting systems analysis, OEM software and/or hardware system configuration, assists in planning and training
  • Develops and maintains database for OEM SAR’s, Installation Guides and Drawings
  • Applies significant knowledge of OEM industry trends and developments to improve our products
  • Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients
  • Conducts technical trainings
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease problems at FAT, streamline work processes in tech support, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service

Job Requirements


The Ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
  • Experience with hardware and software issues in OEM environment
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Language skills: Italian mother tongue, English fluent, possible third European language.
  • Solid knowledge Microsoft package, like Word, Excel, SQL, and AutoCAD
  • Willingness to travel internationally

Technical Expertise

  • Understands complex technical processes
  • Possesses demonstrated work experience with OEM’s.
  • Able to install and test technical solutions, even under harsh conditions
  • Understands technical concepts and consistently applies them in client engagements.
  • Possesses significant knowledge in technical documentation, database and drawings


  • Facilitates team, supplier and client meetings effectively.
  • Holds regular status meetings with R&D, SAR and tech support team.
  • Keeps development team well informed.
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations and database update.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

Education and/or Experience: High school, Technical engineering degree, Min. 5 years of experience in similar industry, preferably in OEM environment.
