Position Objective
Drive achievement of overall tactical marketing activities within Medical BU (Korea) through direct engagement with sales and other relevant functional groups within the company (R&D, SLS, Regulatory), customers (KOL) and reimbursement government agency.
Essential Job Functions: 
  • Formulate regional tactical marketing plans on an annual basis in close cooperation with sales organization (and sales leaders of Korea and Asia), drawing on strategy for the Korea business. [10%]
  • Primary contact and coordinator for event and conference management. Responsible for planning ahead, scheduling and executing the main events (tradeshow, CME, exhibition, seminar, distributor training etc), with collaboration with the sales team. Deliver marketing campaigns using DBS transformative marketing tools including content development, communication to customers, qualify and track Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL). [20%]
  • Develop selling tools to help sales force in targeting the right customers and applications. This may include some translation works (adoption of global materials). Manage sampling request. [20%]
  • Provide product/application training and application support to sales organization, customers and channel partners. [20%]
  • External marketing communication role includes identify KOL (such as guideline makers), manage KOL relationship, influence and act as liaison to the reimbursement policy agency. [15%]
  • Analyzes competitive landscape including overall market positioning, market share, product offerings, pricing and selling strategies to develop and maintain action plans, drive product portfolio growth and gain market share. [10%]
  • Provide timely and accurate feedback and manage communications to appropriate management on key issues regarding the marketing mix. [5%]

Job Requirements


Minimum Qualifications: (
Bechelor’s or equivalent.  Degree in life sciences or engineering with 3 or more years or related work experiences in marketing and product management of medical device or membrane technologies is preferred.
Need to have basic clinical knowledge.
Good command of English.
Position Competencies (include behavioral characteristics and leadership capabilities)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with people from various functional disciplines including: sales, marketing, R&D, engineering, manufacturing, legal, DBS and planning.
  • Ability to translate marketing data to business recommendation.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in generating concise, clear market opportunity assessments, revenue and unit forecasting models, price, profitability analyses and market segmentation matrices.
  • Good knowledge of healthcare market and medical device regulatory requirements
  • Experienced in developing and conducting training presentations to customers and sales representatives
  • Ability to tackle multiple projects and priorites
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

  • Preparedness for travel to gemba, in the assigned territory (within Korea).
