The Manufacturing Engineer role is to support reagent design transfer projects in the Central region of the US. This position will include the following activities:
  • Lead projects to validate equipment used in reagent filling operations
  • Work closely with reagent operations to continuously improve our reagent filling capabilities
  • Work with an electronic document management system and the associated approval process to release documents
  • Updating technical documents to reflect accurate policies and procedures 
  • Assist in aligning various project functions in accordance with project needs and mitigating associated risks
  • Assist in the organization and facilitation of project meetings to ensure communication is transparent so all key stakeholders are aware of progress and critical path tasks
  • As and when required, provide project updates
  • While this role will have no direct line management responsibilities, however there will be opportunities to coach and lead through influence within the team and ensure project requirements are delivered
  • Ensure regulatory compliance is consistently maintained following FDA (Food and Drug Administration), ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and other world regulatory agency policies

Job Requirements


Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biosystems Engineering preferred
  • Experience in Engineering roles in a fast paced, changing high tech environment is preferred
  • Exceptional people and project management skill set - responsible for timeline, deliverables and budget
  • Experience of working in a complex matrix environment
  • Experience in medical devices development environment (feasibility through to product launch) while not essential would be desirable
  • An ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and to be proactive in seeking out opportunities to help others
  • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal/written/presentation/relationship building)
  • High levels of initiative, self-motivation and energy
  • Hands on mentality with a strong ability to get into detail as necessary
  • High levels of integrity, confidence, independence and collaboration skills
