This role is a technical leader for the CNC process. The CNC Engineering Manager is responsible for the selection of equipment, CNC process and tooling improvements, adherence to EHS and quality system requirements and supervision of the CNC technical staff.
  • Supervise programmers
  • Choose, install, and validate CNC Equipment.
  • CNC Process Improvements including tooling.
  • Maintain a standardized approach to CNC Programming and tooling configuration.
  • Implement preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned machine downtime
  • Maintain cost effective spare parts inventory
  • Owner of CAPAs and NCMRs for CNC.
  • Develop and propose workmanship standards.
  • Create and maintain SOPs for machine shop/production.
  • Responsible to oversee vendor managed tooling cribs.
  • Participate in and/or lead Kaizen (continuous improvement) events.
  • Support new product introductions to Yorba Linda site.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required.
  • 3+ years of process engineering experience required; focus on CNC production in a regulated industry experience preferred
  • 3+ years technical writing experience required
  • 2+ years’ experience in running projects required
  • CAD/CAM experience strongly preferred
  • Experience operating and setting up CNC machines preferred
  • Experience with G and M codes preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a complex fast-paced manufacturing environment, managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience leading/supervising small teams.
