Position Objective:

  • Leading, managing, developing and coordinating the PASS Americas Engineering team (Process Engineers & Project Managers) in the delivery of custom and standard bioprocessing equipment across the Pall Biotechnology catalog. Scope expansion of all project phases: quotation, design, fabrication, testing, and customer site acceptance.
  • Responsible for achieving key business results by being responsible for the engineering team’s ability to meet metrics; specifically ensuring projects are delivered timely, Within Budget, and In Accordance to Spec.
  • Develop top talent within the engineering organization.
  • Demonstrate robust project management and operational management tools (ie Danaher Business Systems) to actively identify and resolve project delivery challenges and operational issues.

Job Functions:

  • Resource management and planning for engineering resources to properly support the project pipeline.
  • Oversight of project execution, and responsible for project status reporting to site leaders and senior management.
  • Main contact for sales organization to evaluate, discuss and develop sales strategy and quotations for new commercial opportunities.
  • Verify and supervise preparation of quotations including risk assessment procedures
  • Administrative management activities
  • Drive people development and continuous improvement processes

Position Proficiencies :

  • Ability to review and comment customer URS for biopharmaceutical equipment, and evaluate possible technologies or designs to meet customer requirements.
  • Understanding of filtration separation and purification technologies used in the downstream processing (Direct flow filtration, tangential flow filtration, chromatography)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current industry guidelines for crafting, manufacturing, testing and detailing biopharmaceutical process equipment. (ASME BPE, GAMP, cGMP, ISPE, etc.)
  • Project management experience for the execution of system projects in accordance to the defined specifications, time schedule and cost.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a multinational and interdisciplinary team with a high degree of travelling.
  • Ability to interact on complex technical / engineering issues at the highest level. Pall internal as well as with the customer.
  • To work safely and to follow the company’s health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

Job Requirements


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Valid Driving License
  • 8+ years of experience with process engineering / project management of equipment used in Biopharmaceutical manufacturing including large scale and complex projects involving the integration of multiple systems.
  • Experience in having lead and successfully executed various complex large scale projects within the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with working with outside subcontractors including mechanical fabricators, electrical fabricators, Software designers and automation authorities.
  • Experience in qualification activities (FAT/SAT/IQ/OQ) for process equipment in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Leadership experience in a technical Biopharmaceutical environment.

  • Masters of Science Degree
