Our Center of Excellence, located in Westborough, Massachusetts is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager who will bring an engaging leadership style and strategic direction to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of our workplace safety initiatives. You are a self-starter who can build cross functional relationships across Pall, Danaher and with outside agencies.  This position reports to the Westborough  Senior Facilities Manager with a dotted line to Corporate Safety. 
  • Be a safety champion for our site by establishing, coordinating and providing technical support for the implementation of all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs to minimize potential risks associated with manufacturing activities.  Be a liaison with the HSE Director to stay abreast of all Legal and Corporate requirements. Focus on finding opportunities to reduce environmental, safety and health liabilities while providing leadership in the development of responsible programs that represent our culture.  Plan and administer training and awareness programs in environmental and safety prevention and protection, and other regulatory issues.  Complete required regulatory requirements through reports to federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Directs the Environmental Management System (EMS) and ISO-14001 Program implementation.
  • Ensures Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) is maintained.
  • Plans and designs all EHS related training strategies by educating associates and management about safety and environmental policies, laws, and practices.
  • Manage all Contingency and Emergency Preparedness Plans to comply with all applicable EHS requirements
  • Assure Environmental permit(s) compliance. Maintain all necessary documentation, track sampling, monitoring program and reporting requirements
  • Play an active part in continuous improvement initiatives and drive EHS excellence through the use of Danaher Business System (DBS) Tools and Kaizen.
  • Ensure that all personnel are aware of the importance of Environmental Policy and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements, their roles and responsibilities and the potential impacts of their work.
  • Monitor trainings in vivid learning
  • Develops and actively pursues an accident/incident prevention program to insure that appropriate policies and procedures are followed.
  • Contributes to team  effort by accomplishing related results; keeping business information confidential;  ensuring data accuracy and integrity, assuring systems compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate standards; ensuring a safe and healthy  environment.
  • Coordinate waste removal 
  • Back up site facilities manager as needed.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience managing Environmental, Health and Safety Management Programs in fast paced industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters with a focus on Environmental, Health, Safety, or Sustainability Management
  • EHS certification
  • Knowledge OSHA, DOT, ADA, EPA, FDEP regulations.
  • Knowledge of RCRA, CAA, CWA and NPDES environmental regulations.
  • Prior management experience
  • Presentation skills
  • Effective communication and interaction skills with all levels of employees and management
