Responsible for developing and building unique value propositions that support the “go to market” strategy of the business and achieve the annual sales and margin plan for distributor relationships. Integrate and coordinate all functional sales support activities that are necessary to achieve and maintain sales and profitability for distributor relationships within the defined Market Segment.

Provide expert level support on assigned product portfolio and distributor relationships and applications to sales team; support sales force on complex product demonstrations of assigned product portfolio. Responsible for supporting trade shows, workshops and customer courses related distributor sales.  Develop, foster and sustain relationships with key customers and key distributors in defined Market Segment. Analyze and relay market dynamics, including price positioning, and direct customer feedback to management. Participate in or lead strategic projects to drive product development and business growth as required.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives, project-based and KPI goals as defined by management.
  • Develop sales plans and strategies to increase market penetration through distributor relationships.
  • Develop and maintain distributor relationships including contract negotiations and renewals, reporting and maintain relationships with key contacts with distributors. Coordinate and/or participate in all distributor related Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Participate in business-team meetings and special projects as defined by management and provide field input into the development of strategies and tactics.  Participate in Leica and Distributor trade shows as appropriate
  • Work with Marketing Product Managers to develop pricing strategy: Industry and market pricing and distributor pricing projects and implementation, monitoring price and mix, positioning, and bundles.
  • Work in collaboration with global Marketing on Promotion and lead generation: E-promotion, ads, trade show strategy, branding, prospecting process, workshops, target account list, communication strategy, and thought leader development.
  • Prepare monthly status report to Sr. Director of Corporate Accounts
  • Manage operating expenses within assigned budget

Job Requirements


Professional Experience

  • 5-7 years successful Medical sales experience
  • 3-5 years managing distributor relationships
  • Familiarity with anatomical pathology products and processes preferred


  • BA/BS in Business/Marketing or Life Sciences or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred


  • English
