Manager Complaint Handling Post Market Surveillance




Position Objective:

In this role the Manager Post Market Surveillance manages the Complaint Handling team in Belfeld. The Manager organizes on a daily basis the work of the complaint handling team, according to established processes following worldwide regulations. He/she participates in international projects with the objective of improving the processing of product complaints. The Manager leads the complaint handling team, provides guidance, coaches the Complaint Handling specialists and assesses their performance. The Manager Complaint Handling supports the Global Head Post Market Surveillance in the management of the Post Market Surveilance activities. He/she cooperates closely with his/her counterparts in the manufacturing sites, and with the Heads of Customer Service/Customer Support in the subsidiaries. This role is part of Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance & Design Assurance department. The role offers great and solid career prospects.  

Main accountabilities:

•                 Has direct report responsibility with regards to a team of some 25 Complaint Handling specialists.

•                 Provides performance feedback three times per year to the team members.

•                 Ensures that product complaints are handled in accordance with worldwide regulations, and the Quality Management System of the company.

•                 Manages the expenses of the Department, together with the Global Head of Post Market Surveillance.

Job Requirements


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

•                    Degree (Master/Bachelor) within e.g. Health Science

•                    Knowledge of & experience with medical device regulations across the world

•                    Experience with working in a regulated industry, i.e. medical device

•                    Critical Skills/technical know-how: (what the role holder must be able to do)

•                    SAP & CVM

•                    Excellent computer skills

•                    Must be conversant in several languages

•                    People’s person

•                    Ability to interact with multiple departments & stakeholders

•                    Quick decision maker



Critical Experience:

•                    Superb knowledge of product complaints

•                    IT understanding

•                    MDR/MDV reporting experience is a plus


•                    Customer orientation

•                    Managerial capabilities (both in terms of work & people)

•                    Safety awareness

•                    Quick but good decision making

•                    Cultural interpersonal effectivenss

•                    Stress resistance and capability to overcome objections

•                    Pragmatic but compliant application of the complaint handling regulatory requirements.

•                    Customer oriented communication style

•                    High sense of responsibility

•                    Quick on the ball

•                    Creative and full of initiative
