The Set Up Operator is part of the Tool Steel Department.  In this position, you will work within Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to complete the process of cylindrical grinding of rotary instruments (dental bur) as part of the manufacturing process.  You will set up and operate a set of machines in a continuous, fast paced, production/processing operation.  Walking and standing throughout a 12 hour shift, you will monitor the equipment and product continually to ensure best quality.  Inspection using micrometers and working with close tolerances is required.  You will troubleshoot issues, make adjustments and perform repairs to the equipment.  Operators will stay current with updates to SOP’s and training using the Master Control Training System.  Strong communication skills are required. Must be a team player who will contribute to the success of the department by demonstrating flexibility and willingness to learn and help others.  Must be detail oriented and have a strong desire to grow and develop within the department.

Job Requirements


Minimum Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma
Preference will be given to those with post-secondary education in a technical or mechanical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience working a 12-hour rotating shift structure
  • Experience working with CNC type equipment
  • Familiar with ISO/FDA regulated manufacturing practices
  • Experience working in a mechanical or technical field
Comfortable working in a computerized environment
