We are seeking an engineer to work on a variety of tasks which touch multiple disciplines in new product development including electrical and systems engineering.  Tasks include learning about photo-multiplier tubes, testing different parts of a light-sensitive system to determine temperature vulnerability and proposing solutions for robustness. 

We design medical devices used in diagnostic laboratories.  We are in a regulated industry and follow rigorous development processes and design practices to ensure quality designs.  There is much cross-functional interaction, and our development team spans multiple sites worldwide which gives opportunity to learn from many outstanding engineers.


Job Requirements


  • Full-time undergraduate or graduate student attending an accredited college/university
  • Enrolled in a university program leading to a Bachelor degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
  • Non-graduating status (i.e. graduation date cannot be prior to August of given year)
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Eligible to work 40 hours per week for the summer program length of 10 to 12 weeks
EE Contractor Skillset
  • Degree: BSEE preferred, Computer Science acceptable
  • Experience: 5+ years
  • Worked in a regulated environment such as medical, automotive or defense
  • Requirements generation
  • Firmware tool validations
  • C/C++ programming
  • Code reviews
  • Test protocols
  • Test fixture development
  • Testing/ debugging
  • Verification report writing
  • Working closely with multiple disciplines in a team environment including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Quality Engineering and Regulatory
  • Competent with using multimeters and oscilloscopes
