JOB SUMMARY: Work in cooperation with designated Regional Sales Representatives to attain or surpass budgeted growth by selling and promoting Implant Direct products, services and Educational offerings, in addition to securing new business within assigned territories while providing excellent solutions-oriented customer service and maintaining compliance with company procedures and FDA and ISO regulations.  This position is designed to support the incumbent’s developmental growth in their Sales career towards a possible transition into a Regional Sales Representative role in the field within North America.


  1. Make outbound calls to qualify and generate sales leads and ensure attendance at company sponsored courses through support of the company’s Training and Education efforts.

  2. Up-Sell and Cross-Sell dental implant products; provide customers with precise product features and benefits, and sell appropriate promotions.

  3. Promptly and accurately respond to customers’ technical questions via email and telephone, and provide assistance with navigating Implant Direct’s online storefront.

  4. Maintain accurate customer records and all sales activity and results in the database; prepare monthly sales reports.

  5. Perform routine account-related transactions, such as securing credit card payment and general account maintenance.

  6. Maintain comprehensive knowledge on products, current promotions, and standard operating procedures in support of day-to-day activities.

  7. Promptly record customer complaint issues in accordance with company procedures to maintain compliance with FDA/ISO regulations.

  8. Correspond regularly with assigned Outside Sales Representatives to align on territory strategy and potential leads.

  9. May assist with development and refinement of inside sales procedures and processes.

  10. Attend company-sponsored training on product and sales techniques and industry trends.

  11. Participate in national and local tradeshows as appropriate.

Job Requirements


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  High School diploma (Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred).  2-3 years in B2B and/or customer-interfacing sales experience. Prior experience and/or knowledge of dentistry and dental implant industry a plus.


  1. Flexibility to relocate within North America after 2-3 years of success in role is strongly preferred but not required.

  2. Personable, friendly and able to deal effectively with customers and manage multiple priorities.  Must be assertive, confident and able to work with minimal supervision.

  3. Ability to adapt style to changing markets and technology.

  4. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.  Knowledge of Google platform a plus.

  5. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  6. Must possess an entrepeneurial, relationship-building mindset with a high standard for attention to detail, listening, probing, and follow-through.

  7. Capacity to comprehend and relay highly technical information.

  8. Ability to think creatively about problem solving issues.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.  Communicate clearly with staff, customers, and other key members in the company while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions. Being able to quickly assess large amounts of information and data is very important.  The ability to consider and evaluate the interrelationships of numerous factors and to select the best course of action is imperative. In the absence of sufficient information, sound intuitive judgment is crucial to reaching favorable decisions.  Certain qualities, including self-confidence, motivation, decisiveness, and flexibility, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, and sound business judgment are important. The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
