Responsible for selling consumables and equipment, via the phone, to new and existing customers.

Enter customer orders and sample requests through multiple channels (phone, fax, email, Web, EDI).

Responsible for developing revenue opportunities through outbound activities and qualifying incoming opportunities from marketing generated campaigns or activities.

Makes independent decisions regarding sales leads and opportunities from all marketing lead sources.

Consistently meet and achieve productivity metrics and goals.

Educate our customers about our products and assist them in purchasing the right solution for their needs

The Inside Sales Representative role is of critical importance to both the short-term targets of the Selling Unit and the long-term growth goals.

Seeks new opportunities to grow the business and use multiple communication devices to promote. These include cold calling, internal communications, mailings and occasional field calls and/or vendor fairs/symposia workshops.

Other duties and activities as assigned.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Achieve the agreed quarterly and annual product sales targets set for the established areas of responsibility.
  • Achieve the targets for each product group and market segments sold in the defined areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure the integrity of data is accurate and maintained in SAP and Sales Force
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales, support assistance and quote formulation.
  • Value added improvements identified and recommended.
  • Achieve the productivity metrics for customer contacts and selling time.

Job Requirements


  • Education:  High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience/Skills:
  • 1-2 years of phone sales experience required

Desired Education, Experience, Skills

  • Education:  College degree


  • 3-5 years of phone sales experience
  • Previous experience with SAP and Sales Force

Travel: 0%-5%


  • Excellent time management and organization skills are a must
  • Goal oriented, results driven
  • Self-motivated and independent thought are critical
  • Must possess excellent customer relations/service skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are key
  • Work independently but able to interact as part of a team member
  • Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, SAP, Sales Force)
