Description

Our human resources department focuses on understanding what people need and knowing how to provide it. This position will support the HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as Recruiting, Talent Development, Compensation and Benefits.

Objectives of Role: 
  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedure and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations.
  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements.
  • Partner with Benefits Specialist to administer benefits, leave of absences and workers compensation.
  • Suggest new procedures or standard work to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and the site as-a-whole, and to improve employee experience.
  • Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedure as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare onboarding documents, schedule, and facilitate seamless new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interview, including entering data into HR information system (Workday) and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in employee-relations and performance management issues.
  • Be the primary source for ADP Payroll processing, including; bi-weekly updates to the payroll department as well as provide exceptional support in issue resolution.
  • Manage the site Recognition and Wellness Programs. Lead Events Committee in planning and executing events
  • Support employees in the development of Performance Goals and Development Goals. 
  • Maintains ongoing relationships with contingent employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates and cost effectiveness. Ownership of recruitment process for contingent workers and tracks metrics. 
  • Assists in recruitment of open positions as needed. Proactively identifies areas for process improvement.
  • Primary owner and maintenance of confidential employee database and files such as Workday, ADP, etc. 
  • Provides support in implementing the Annual Employee Engagement Survey on site.
  • Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; writing communications
  • Preparation of AAP on annual basis
 

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline
  • Human Resources Certification Preferred
Experience/Skills:
  • 3 or more years of Human Resources experience 
  • Strong HRIS experience. Workday is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
  • Working knowledge in HR areas including compensation, talent acquisition, communication, coaching, talent development, etc. 
  • Stand up Facilitation/Training Experience desired
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.

  • English (Spanish a plus)
