Title:                            Health & Safety Construction Officer   
Contract:                              6 Month Contract
Location:                              Clare
Reporting to:                      Senior EHS Specialist

  • Knowledge of construction regulations to guide a construction project
  • Ensure EH&S management systems are implemented and maintained
  • Implementation of EH&S induction and training plans for all site personnel
  • Regularly review and update Company risk assessments , safe operating procedures and safety statements
  • Mange all safety files relevant to the construction activities
  • Review sub-contractors safety statements and safety compliance
  • Lead and promote a continuous improvement culture to all EH&S work practices on site
  • Identify areas of risk and develop risk assessments /measures to reduce and control
  • Conduct weekly audits and tool box talks
  • Investigate / report accidents and incidents on site ensuring relevant accident information for insurance purposes
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with project stakeholders

Job Requirements


Knowledge & Skills:
  • 3 years’ experience in a EH&S role on construction / civil projects
  • Degree / Diploma qualification or its equivalent in EH&S
  • Strong time management skills
  • Knowledge of Irish & EU Legislation in relation to Construction Health & Safety.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to execute tasks in an efficient and effective manner
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Must have fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland
