We are currently seeking a “Head of Accounts and reporting” for India. This position will report Director Finance India and will be based at Mumbai. 

Purpose of this Position:

This position is to provide leadership to Financial Reporting and Accounting function at Videojet India. The position will be responsible for generating and reporting monthly financial results with detailed analysis, ensuring accuracy of financial results. These objectives are to be achieved through a sound financial management process including timely and regular financial reporting, improving processes within accounting function, maintenance of internal controls, working capital management and working as a strong business partner to the cross functional business leaders. 

Primary Responsibilities: 
• Leading and supervising local accounting and reporting processes for preparation of periodic financial statements, and ensure compliance with local tax and statutory regulations
• Own preparation and submission of management accounts to corporate and ensure compliance with US GAAP and other Danaher/ Videojet Accounting Policies within target timelines
• Submission of other periodic MIS reports to global, regional and local teams
• Perform detailed variance analysis on financial results against forecasts and prior periods to help management understanding root causes of variances and support management in determining actionable countermeasures
• Prepare monthly business review deck with key takeaways and comments 
• Managing Working Capital, including but not limited to delivering DSO, AR Past Due %, DPO and Inventory Turns targets
• Supervise general ledger accounting and accounts payable transactions
• Identify and drive initiatives to save costs and manage operating expenses within plan/ budget
• Finalisation of accounts for local statutory requirements and Liasoning with Statutory Auditor and Internal Auditor for audit related matters
• Implement and continuously improve internal controls that ensure accurate reporting and proper safeguarding of company assets
• Provide decision making and business support to the India business leaders and act as their business partner, providing ideas and suggestions to achieve the business goals
• Support regional compliance team through on-site internal audit of another operating entity

Job Requirements


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• 8-10 years of post qualification experience with minimum 2-3 years in MNC set-up in similar role
• Well versed with Indian Accounting Standards, IFRS, Indian Companies Act
• Good knowledge of ERP systems like Oracle, SAP
• Good hands on knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and power point
• Knowledge and experience in HFM reporting will be preferred
• Skill to manage and train people within function and cross function
• Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
• Good analytical skills
• Good understanding of business dynamics and provide critical heads up based on Financial data
• Very High in integrity and compliance.

Education – 
• Qualified Chartered account from ICAI
• MBA from reputed institute/university/Cost accountancy/CPA from AICPA will be added advantage
