Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:

  • Manage key strategic suppliers within a distribution environment on a global level.
  • Lead, organize and chair weekly meetings with key strategic suppliers to review suppliers’ output against forecast/demand.
  • Extract & generate monthly sales data & translate into forecast (CPQ – Configure Price Quote).
  • Responsible for tracking of actual inventory vs. design plan and provide updates/root cause misses to core team.
  • Proactively rebalance any inventory and intervene for product allocations under ownership.
  • Review On Time Delivery misses and document findings with corrective actions.
  • Manage the VMI (Vendor Manage Inventory) system for suppliers under ownership.
  • Schedule and advise procurement for refurbishment parts.
  • Validate suggested Reorder Point value and forecasts within Oracle software system.
  • Work with cross functional teams for New Product Introduction including distribution plan and part number set up.
  • Participate in Excess and Obsolete validation and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain Key Performance Indicators metrics.
  • Participate in any required Kaizen/DBS workshops.
  • Work closely with Regional Buyers, Global Supply Chain and Product Managers and support/lead any escalation activities.
  • Generate ad hoc and monthly supply chain analytics for various functional levels.

Job Requirements


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • B.S. degree with 3-5 years of working experience within a Global Planning position and working with suppliers.
  • Possess problem solving and good interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-driven, resourceful, independent and team player.
  • Detailed & Meticulous with figures.
  • Results oriented – has track record for delivery results, takes ownership and is accountable.
  • Stretch oriented – embraces and thrives on challenge and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced knowledge in using Ms Excel, such as VLOOKUP, Multiple Nested IF, SUMIF, COUNTIF, Pivot Table, Power Pivot and Charts.
  • Knowledge of Oracle an added advantage.
  • Able to articulate well with all levels.
  • Travel may be required.
