Description

  • Our Trade Compliance team maintains compliance with global customs laws and regulations while driving customer satisfaction and profitability. We insure compliance with all aspects of customs and trade requirements. Our team also partners closely with cross-functional teams in strategic planning and implementation of all customs and trade initiatives globally.
  • The Export Compliance Manager will manage the Export Compliance Program to support all OpCo’s within the Diagnostic’s Platform globally. The manager will develop and implement export compliance improvement processes, including but not limited to export screening, export licensing, and export classification. 
  • The candidate must have knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR) of the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Regulations, International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) of the U.S. Department of State, and other applicable International Export rules and regulations.
  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Act as strategic business advisor on global export matters, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC compliance;
  • Provide guidance to OpCo Trade Compliance global team members in their day-to-day compliance matters, including customer and transaction screening, ECCN/dual use classification, end-use/user restrictions, sanctions, export license determinations, anti-boycott reviews, and license applications;
  • Develop and implement automation processes for export screening;
  • Review ERP compliance systems for blocks and work with internal and external customers to resolve them;
  • Drive improvements and efficiencies of established Trade Compliance processes;
  • Continually review systems and capabilities to ensure these systems will support new and evolving business models;
  • Monitor updates to export laws and regulations, assess the impact on company’s and its subsidiaries’ systems and processes, and modify export processes and procedures as necessary to ensure compliance;
  • Develop and maintain BIS, OFAC, ITAR and other export - related processes and procedures; 
  • Develop and administer training (both online and in person) on export matters that reflect the latest developments in Trade Compliance regulations;
  • Develop, implement, and maintain export related audits

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree with 9+ years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of export administration experience
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as International Trade, Law is preferred;
  • Knowledge of BIS, EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and International Export Compliance regulations;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Electronic Export Information filing requirements, HTS/ECCN classification and “sanctioned” party screening processes;
  • Knowledge of Export Compliance screening software and classification applications;
  • Familiarity and/or experience with LEAN and Six Sigma;
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills and ability to act as internal advisor are essential requirements for this position;
  • Must be able to clearly and concisely articulate findings and summarize recommendations; 
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment; 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to set and accomplish strategic goals;
  • Must be committed to integrity, ethics, and building strong relationships in a diverse setting;
  • Must be able to work effectively in high-intensity/high-performance environment.
