Are you the driven, improvement oriented and analytical financial leader that we are looking for?
To further professionalize the finance team we are currently looking for an Finance SSC Manager.
The Finance SSC Manager EMEAI is in charge and responsible for all finance accounting activities and manages a team of approx. 20 associates  with 6 direct reports in Rotterdam and Mumbai.
This role reports to the senior Manager Finance EMEAI. Rapid growth within this role is expected.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Managing and controlling the  European and Indian Accounting Shared Service Center  (including GL, AP, T&E, Payroll) with approx. 20 (10 + 10) reports to meet requirements, which include completion of month end close, support tax and SOX controls testing, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting matters 
  • Maintaining accurate and complete books of the company; ensure all the accounting transactions are recorded timely and accurately with a high standard of supporting documentation.
  • Drive high quality and efficiency of the Shared Service Center ensuring compliance with USGAAP, IFRS and tax requirements.
  • Keeping all (financial) procedures and finance structures up to date to accommodate for an efficient process and full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Support stakeholders in and outside Finance through analysis of balance sheet accounts, profit and loss statements, and balance fluctuations from period to period
  • Drive alignment and optimization of key month end processes & internal controls across EMEAI accounting in line with Danaher standards
  • Measure performance and develop Finance team
  • Perform reconciliations regarding Balance Sheet accounts, that include explain and adjust of the outstanding balances. Review balance sheet account reconciliations and associated journal entries for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure that the accounting and tax documentation is updated and maintains the traceability of it in order to support the accounting and the taxes in proper way.
  • Collaborate in a highly matrixed global environment with the Director, Accounting Shared Services and other members of the Finance Leadership Team to ensure the accuracy and completion of month end close processes
  • Prepare responses and provide support in internal and external audits.
  • Actively participate and support of the improving accounting process into the ERP

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Accounting qualification (like CA/CPA)
  • Minimum 5-8 years managerial experience in accounting, managing a team of 5-10 employees
  • Experience in working in international matrix organization; preferably SSC experience
  • Knowledge in US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles.
  • Desirable experience in ERPs like Oracle.
  • Able to coordinate all activities performed by general ledger team, meeting all deadlines.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Customer service oriented (internal and external)
  • Ability to work under pressure and a high degree of ability to define priorities.
  • Oriented to detail and organized.
  • Proactive and with a high sense of teamwork.
  • Focused on process improvement.
  • Analysis and information processing.
  • Critical attitude and independent mind, “looking for the issues”, challenging views and opinions in a positive and constructive way
  • Fluent in English
