Description

A candidate primed for success will be a self-starter with keen attention to detail, ability to learn information and apply it to novel situations, and a proven track record of contribution in a team environment.  Critical responsibilities are to:
  • Build great relationships with fellow FAS team sales reps and field service engineers so as to unify the overall field customer support experience
  • Provide guidance and support to sales team by participating in confirmation of project scope during the pre-sale customer qualification and proposal process to include Biomek and Echo instrument and software demonstration
  • Contribute to financial growth objectives for Life Science sales and service teams
  • Manage territory workload effectively including daily management of required administrative duties
  • Adhere to required standard work associated with job, and utilize Danaher Business System tools to solve problems
  • Create from scratch methods in Biomek Software and test/optimize those methods on live Biomek liquid handlers in both a test environment and at customer sites
  • Modify and adapt Biomek methods created by the business unit or the internal field support lab for customer implementation
  • Conduct on-site and web-based applications training on Biomek and Echo instruments, methods and software
  • Act as owner of implementation and support of complex applications within your territory.  This includes initial implementation, optimization, related troubleshooting, diagnosis and general support on Biomek Life Sciences Liquid Handling Platforms
  • Seek ways to contribute to team efficiency and process improvements
  • Travel within and outside territory to support business and customer needs.  Job requires travel—up to 75%—on short notice. Must have valid driver’s license and meet Beckman Coulter safe driver criteria

Qualifications

  • Excellent presentation skills. 2+ years field applications experience directly using and programming methods on Life Science Liquid Handlers.  
  • Advanced Degree in Biology or related life science discipline required. Understanding of Genomics, NGS and Cellular Applications required
