Description: The EMEA Regional Buyer is responsible for purchasing material from EMEA based suppliers to support global demand and is at the same time responsible for meeting assigned inventory targets whilst not impacting revenue commitment. In this role you will have a lot of interaction with Global planning and sourcing team around the globe, suppliers, freight forwards, our external warehouse, finance and customer services.
Main responsibilities
  • Responsible for purchasing material from EU based suppliers through Min/Max and ASCP planning modules in Oracle
  • Responsible for meeting inventory targets whilst not impacting revenue targets
  • Manages MRB sub inventory with the aim to keep it as low as possible and drive issues to closure
  • Responsible for monthly scrap and write off cycle with Finance and actions physical scrap with our external warehouse
  • Responsible for material inbound issues and solving them to ensure speedy time to stock
  • Expedited parts set up
  • Overseeing DC to DC shipments, expedites and solves in transit issues
  • Managing Vendor Managed Inventory stock
  • Ensuring stock accuracy between Oracle and external WMS system
  • Managing of pre orders in terms of ordering material for those orders
  • Various small daily tasks

Job is located in Rotterdam area in The Netherlands


Job Requirements


  • Minimum Bachelor's degree either through education or experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Preferably 2 years of experience in buyer/planner role but we are also open to a more junior candidate who we will train internally based on candidates' background and experience
  • Can work in a small team but also independently without much supervision
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Experience in ERP systems like Oracle
  • Can work under pressure and can handle fluctuation in workload
  • Detail oriented
  • Can deal with ambiguity (inventory levels versus availability and fillrate/OTD)
  • Familiar with process improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication and persuading skills
