Description

The Position:

To provide additional electronic engineering development capacity for new product developments. The successful candidate will be involved in the full life cycle of electrical/electronic hardware development from the design requirement phase through to launch of new printers.

Expectations:

  • To contribute to the on-time development of new products
  • To produce ‘right first time designs’ and associated documentation to agreed schedule
  • To gain a thorough knowledge of the systems architecture of all Videojet’s current products
  • To become proficient in the use of Videojet’s preferred design tools and working practices

Most Important Competencies Required:

  • Have solid knowledge and understanding of electronics hardware design ranging from light current programmable logic, System on Chip (SOC) and microcontrollers through to switch mode power supply and motor control design
  • Have an appreciation of good EMC design practice, signal integrity and techniques
  • Any experience of either Altium or Orcad schematic design and hardware design simulation packages would be an advantage (but not essential since training will be provided)
  • Any experience of practical prototyping and advanced testing techniques will be an advantage

Education and/or Experience:

Electrical or Electronics graduate (min 2.1)
