The EHS & Facilities  Manager is responsible for maintaining the Yorba Linda site and outside salesforce in full compliance to relevant EHS regulations, being the technical expert in EHS, and leading a culture that is safe for employees and minimizing risk to the environment.  In addition, this role is responsible for maintaining the site's security systems to minimize the risk of property loss, and controlling access to the building.  Also this role is responsible for maintaining, modifying and improving the facilities to meet the need of the business, working with the landlord, and managing contractors and the Facilities Department.

Job Requirements


  • Safety:  Accountable for knowing and communicating all applicable Federal and State OSHA regulations; Establishing and driving the continuous improvement of a system to ensure a safe working environment; Periodically audit the compliance to the established safety system,  Driving the correction of audit findings, Maintaining OSHA logs for reported accidents, and hosting 3rd party inspectors/auditors and timely responses to their findings.
  • Environmental:  Accountable for knowing and communicating all applicable Federal, State and local environmental requirements;  Submitting all required forms to the regulating agencies on time,  Maintaining organized records of hazardous waste handling,  Hosting 3rd party inspectors/auditors and timely responses to their findings.
  • Security:  Accountable for maintaining contracts with 3rd party security service providers, Performing investigations of reported thefts,  Maintaining the building's access control system.
  • Facilities:  Accountable for maintaining the facilities and associated systems such that they support the primary functions of the site (e.g. manufacturing, customer service, marketing, etc.).
  • In addition, this position will be responsible to oversee and coordinate the Nobel Biocare Yorba Linda Emergency Response Team,  Oversee the Safety Committee, Be the site's subject matter expert for Safety, Environmental, Security and Training, and provide appropriate training to all levels of the organization in those topics. Elevate important issues quickly to upper management to increase awareness.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervises the facilities maintenance staff.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Certification in Safety (CSP) preferred
  • English required
  • Ability to engage and train others regarding safety, first-aid, security, and disaster response systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience, and a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, with emphasis in documentation and compliance, specifically related to FDA's QSR Regulations, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, Federal/Cal OSHA and Local Safety regulations, IT and Physical/Facility security.
