Description

Cepheid is recruiting for a Director, Global Process Improvement (DBSL), Analytics and Compliance.  This role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA.

SUMMARY

The Danaher Business System Leader (DBSL) or Director, Global Process Improvement, Analytics and Compliance, is responsible for overseeing a diverse team of data analysts and process improvement specialists within the Global Customer Care Enablement group. The team is responsible for providing data, analytics and insights to cross functional teams and driving process improvement, as well as the associated IT and SOP enhancements, to improve customer satisfaction, drive team efficiency and eliminate compliance risks. 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage Danaher Business System tools, such as Standard Work (SW), Problem Solving Process (PSP), Visual and Daily Management (DM), Target Process Improvement (TPI) and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to drive process improvement within the Global Service Organization
  • Prepare, facilitate and sustain multi-day Kaizens or other process improvement events with cross-functional teams
  • Manage a diverse team of data analysts and process improvement specialists or project manages
  • Analyzes data to identify key performance indicators and negotiate team targets to ensure customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance
  • Establish and maintain the KPI bowler system for Global Customer Care
  • Extrapolate insights from data and analytics to identify key process gaps and coordinate cross functional teams to close the gaps
  • Manage a project funnel for key process improvements for Customer Care and identify the right tools to drive the changes
  • Oversee a change control steering committee for process, SOP, and IT enhancements with the Global Service management team
  • Service liaison to interpret business needs into IT requirements and collaborate with IT teams on implementation
  • Service liaison to work with Quality and Regulatory teams, initiate and own CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventive Action) to ensure compliance with internal and external audits
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with 9+ years related work experience OR
  • Master’s degree in related field with 7+ years of related work experience
  • 3+ years of managing people

HIGHLY PREFERRED

  • Credentials or certifications in Danaher Business System
  • Experience in medical device, clinical laboratory, life science, field service or hotline technical support
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com and its Analytics platform
  • Experience in driving process improvement successfully in global service organizations
  • Demonstrated track record of strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
  • Metrics and results oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
