WATER QUALITY GROUP

Danaher`s Water Quality Business is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including HACH, ChemTreat, and Trojan Technologies.



Description

The Director, Global IT Operations is responsible for clients, servers, storage, networks, telecommunications and database infrastructure services and support.  The position is responsible for the implementation of information security related strategies for the company.  The position is responsible to maintain the IT Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and associated infrastructure.  The position oversees implementation of improved processes, policies and reports performance metrics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 


Builds People, Teams & Organizations

  • Lead, mentor and manage associates including performance evaluations, pay increases, disciplinary actions, development plans, hiring and terminations. 
  • Augment technical staff in times of heavy workload providing hands on technical support when necessary.

Charts the Course

  • Work with business process owners to obtain input and build consensus on issues pertaining to key service deliverables and quality metrics.
  • Track and sustain Global KPIs
Drives Innovation and Growth
  • Recommend and assist in developing business case and solutions for projects that support process improvements.
  • Design and implement effective Disaster Recovery Plans for the enterprise globally
  • Oversee the recommendation, implementation and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure
Leads through Danaher Business Systems (DBS)
  • Establish and document standard work for all processes.
  • Implement applicable IT related “best practices”
  • Develop annual operational expense budget and capital budgets.
  • Maintain awareness for cost reduction opportunities / techniques and establish ways for improving service levels at the lowest possible cost.
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise of current applicable computing technologies, industry strategies and technology evolution cycles.
  • Maintain SOX and PCI compliance by supporting internal audit activities
  • Manage daily work of on and off-shore DBA activity

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree in an IT or engineering related field
  • Expert level knowledge in servers, storage and data bases
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading an IT infrastructure teams within a large corporate environment
  • Experience managing enterprise scale projects such as large implementations, email rollouts, hardware refreshes, VM transitions, etc.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and basic networking
  • Strong technical knowledge of common backup strategies
  • Strong experienced managing datacenter technologies (UPS,HVAC)
  • Deep understanding of information security
  • Strong interpersonal skills
