Job Description Summary

In this role, the Data Warehouse Developer and Administrator (DWDA) is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of Data Warehouse environments. Those include, understanding data sources, developing and implementing and maintaining data warehouse and data mart schemas, data cubes, and security mechanisms.  
DWDA will implement software and systems that support the provision of timely, accurate, and meaningful enterprise data to key users and decision makers, so they can effectively analyze business patterns and trends and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Applies data warehouse, data mart, and security best practices to successfully design, build and implement solutions to meet the needs of the business.
  • Develops and implements data warehouse structures (e.g. star schemas, marts, OLAP cubes, etc.), ETL processes, and performs DBA operations.
  • Assist in the design, implementation and administration of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability and integration with other analytical and transactional systems.
  • Review database architectures and designs to ensure compliance with corporate objectives for data integrity, quality, performance, management, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Develop quality control measures, testing measures, and the accuracy of data standards and consistency to support deployment of solutions for the businesses and IT.
  • Responsible for prototyping solutions, preparing test scripts, and conducting tests and for data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing, and data modeling for data warehouses.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Four-year degree in Information Science, Computer Science or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Effective business communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and metadata skills.
  • Five years of Data Warehouse, Data Mart, DBA, and security experience in cloud-based environments.
  • Experience with Talend data integration platform
  • Experience in Microsoft environments (e.g. Azure, D365, T-SQL, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, etc.)
  • Work history of successful software design and utilization of latest technologies in Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Azure Data Warehouse, Microsoft’s SQL server and Windows Server environment.
  • Advance knowledge of SQL and scripting languages like Python, R, etc.
  • Experience with Erwin.
  • Experience with JDEdwards
  • Experience with Master Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Integration.
  • Experience or exposure to IIoT and big data implementations a plus.
  • EPICS or ITIL certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish. Portuguese a plus
  • Up to 10% travel.
