Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is seeking a Manager of Customer and Service Training. The Training Manager will oversee customer and service training programs for the Flow Cytometry, Automation, Centrifugation, and Particle Counting and Characterization product lines with direct accountability to ensure robust, effective and dynamic training is developed and delivered for our customers and associates.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for managing the technical training programs for Beckman Coulter customers and associates.
  • Lead a team of technical instructors
  • Design and implement comprehensive training strategy to enable successful new product release
  • Provide technical and managerial guidance to technical instructors and to curriculum so as to improve customer satisfaction and training effectivity
  • Responsible for process improvements, employee engagement, financial expense and KPIs for the multiple Training Centers
  • Design and develop versatile operator learning experience throughout the customer life cycle
  • Apply instructional design and adult learning methodology to improve training quality
  • Expert instructional design skills for classroom, webinar, eLearning, self-study and blended approaches
  • Understanding and application of adult learning principles
  • Applications expertise required: Articulate Storyline and Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Drive training compliance with all safety, quality and regulatory requirements such as: ISO, GMP, FDA and PACE
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships Hotline, Application Support and Field Service managers to improve training content and delivery
  • Work with international training team to share best practices

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree, 9+ years or master’s degree and 7+ years of experience in technical capability building
  • Firsthand experience in design, develop and deliver training programs for external customers
  • Experience in medical device or clinical laboratory with technical aptitude to comprehend scientific and technical content
  • Demonstrated track record of strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills such as ability to show empathy, managing diverse relationships, inspiring others, acting with honor and character, being open and receptive.
  • Metrics and results oriented, with the ability to apply a continuous improvement mindset to current training and curriculum
  • Experience with Knowledge Connection and Master Control is a plus
