Description

The Billing Specialist is responsible for monthly billing activities supporting the cost per test programs of medical diagnostic equipment. These programs enable customers to perform diagnostics for patients on a per test basis.

This individual will work in a team environment, interacting on a daily basis with the Client Services Department, as well as the Sales organization. This role is accountable for timely and accurate billings as defined by the terms and conditions of the assigned customer contracts. The responsibilities would include collecting and validating customer billing data, including electronic, e-mail or fax data transmission methods; and order management processing into the Oracle ERP system. 

The Billing Specialist will provide information to Customers and Sales Representatives as subject matter experts of the cost per test programs.

This individual will also works closely with Contract Support Specialists, Sales and the Customer to ensure there is compliance to the Customer’s contract terms and conditions, and articulate potential non-compliance as it relates to the cost per test program. This role requires an inquisitive mind, attention to detail and a high degree of adaptability, as requests will be varied in nature.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • High School Degree required and Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 – 5 years billing experience in related field, demonstrated skills in a high volume Customer Service environment
  • Effective written communication and strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Word and Ten-key data entry, typing 35 – 40 WPM
  • Proficiency in Excel including analyzing and understanding basic modeling as well as understanding basic analytical functions
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks, while maintaining quality 
  • Sense of urgency to incoming requests and accuracy in processing requests accordingly
  • Mandatory Overtime during high volume times
