DBS Strategy and Execution
  • Drives targeted, sustainable improvement that is tied to Policy Deployment (PD) and Daily Management (DM) by leveraging DBS tools, consulting skills, and change management process. 
  • Works closely with Devicor (TAS) management to implementlean manufacturing, including CDTR (Complaint, Defect, Tracking, Resolution process), and 2/ TPI – HQ functions, through defined DBS processes. 
  • Assists in the development of improvement roadmaps for Devicor (TAS) functions (i.e., how to use the DBS tools to drive sustainable improvement in results).
  • Leads Devicor (TAS) Kaizen funnel to support PD and Daily Management priorities. Reports progress to the Devicor    (TAS) management team
  • Assists Devicor (TAS) in the deployment and sustainment of DBS tools for targeted Devicor (TAS) functions , including DBS Fundamental tools (PSP, DM/VM) and Lean processes (Operations, Reliability and Materials), Lean Software Development (LSD), and others.
  • Supports focused deployment of tools across the organization like PSP and DM/VM to assure excellence in specific areas
  • Ensures successful kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process which includes; (1) planning of kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to PD and Daily Management, (2) kaizen execution, and (3) sustainment of kaizens.
  • Drives awareness and interest in the different functions on DBS Tools
  • Supports Devicor (TAS) President in PD definition and execution 
  • Participates in Daily Management reviews.
  • Communicates to the organization DBS progresses

Organization and People
  • Supports the Devicor (TAS) management in nominating, developing and maintaining DBS experts (e.g., master black belt) across the organization: evaluates and approves employees for MBB certification
  • Is fully synchronized with the LBS DBS organization
  • Creates a community of process professionals throughout LBS, Dx platform, Danaher to advance and accelerate DBS deployment. 
  • Promotes and facilitates diagnosis of work flow impediments throughout the business and provides expert counsel on appropriate tools to eliminate them.
  • Collaborates with internal and external business partners for the purpose of benchmarking performance and knowledge building of industry best practices to guide decisions for implementation of projects. 
  • Directly provides formal and informal DBS training and coaching and facilitates other DBS training sessions when appropriate.
  • Promotes and facilitates employee development in various DBS tools and kaizen leadership.
  • Improves DBS training and facilitation skills by pursuing certification in DBS tools.
  • Recognizes and advises management on associates living DBS – “DBS is our way of life”

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Engineering, or a related field, required. 
  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in an Engineering, Sales or Marketing role, including a range of projects, with a proven track record of driving process improvements required.  
  • Demonstrated proficiency applying Lean principles in a variety of situations. 
  • Proficient in Lean / DBS environment, including Kaizen (continuous improvement) design and facilitation, Policy Deployment usage, and Fundamental DBS tools preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Experience operating in an FDA-regulated industry like medical device industry strongly preferred

  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time; both domestic and international travel is required.
  • Typical work-related travel assignments range 3-5 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required.

  • Ability to champion DBS core policies and develop best practices across diverse business environments.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally while leading through influence.
