  • The Danaher Business System (DBS) is our proven system for achieving success at Danaher.  It drives every aspect of our culture and performance.  We use DBS to guide what we do, measure how well we execute, and drive a continuous cycle of change and improvement.  The DBS Leader will be responsible for promoting, driving and facilitating the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System throughout Mammotome.  This position will oversee the implementation of kaizens and sustainable process improvement activities that result in measurable business outcomes and ultimately business results.  
  • Reporting to the VP of Operations this position focuses on four main areas: 1) lean manufacturing, including CDTR (Customer, Defect, Tracking, Resolution process), 2) transactional process improvement, 3) driving DBS in all Global locations and 4) ownership of all facilities in Cincinnati, OH.   
  • Drive DBS implementation throughout Mammotome, including, Kaizen funnel, Kaizen facilitation, and sustainment of Kaizen outcomes
  • Become master black belt in primary DBS disciplines necessary to drive strategic priorities
  • Develop a culture of DBS throughout Mammotome.  Grow DBS skill sets across the organization, including ability for multiple associates to facilitate Kaizen events
  • Benchmark and incorporate best practices from other Danaher Opcos and Corporate DBS office
  • Work hand in hand with Mammotome leadership team to understand strategic initiatives and develop DBS activities to drive results.  Key emphasis on Policy Deployment and Strat 
  • Works closely with Mammotome management to implement lean manufacturing, including CDTR (Customer, Defect, Tracking, Resolution process), and 2/ TPI – HQ functions, through defined DBS processes
  • Work closely with Operations leadership to drive use of KPI’s and problem solving to ensure best in class on time delivery, quality and issue resolution
  • Leads Mammotome Kaizen funnel to support PD and Daily Management priorities. Reports progress to entire organization through visual management
  • Supports focused deployment of tools across the organization like PSP and DM/VM to assure excellence in specific areas
  • Ensures successful kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process which includes; (1) planning of kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to PD and Daily Management, (2) kaizen execution, and (3) sustainment of kaizens
  • Own all facilities in Cincinnati area, including organization through 5S, employee satisfaction through timely attention to issues, changes to current facility to accommodate growth and growth into new facilities

Job Requirements


  • At least three years’ experience within a manufacturing organization with a metric and results driven culture
  • A proven history of success in driving continuous improvement through one’s function/assignments
  • Ability to travel and hit the ground running with often times limited rest
  • Demonstrated proficiency applying Lean principles in a variety of situations
  • Proficient in Lean / DBS environment, including Kaizen (continuous improvement) design and facilitation
  • Experience with daily management, visual management, and process development to drive standard work and efficiency

  • Desired Skills/Experience:  

  • Prior experience with utilizing DBS methodology and tools to improve operations and / or overall business processes
  • Experience facilitating Kaizens or other process improvement events
  • Project Management experience with proven results around on time delivery and cost targets
  • Technical Industry experience with Medical/Diagnostics a plus
  • Experience working in a regulatory controlled environment (ISO, FDA, etc…)

  • Education 
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Engineering, or a related field, required
  • MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • DBS certification or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
  • Travel Requirements

  • ~50% travel with a mix of domestic and international locations
